IDPH monitors several indicators that measure the health burden of COVID-19 in each Illinois county. If a county is experiencing overall stable COVID-19 metrics, it is listed as Blue. If a county is not meeting its set targets, it will be listed as Orange.

As of September 4th, 2020: Edgar County has been moved from Blue to Orange, indicating there are warning signs of increased COVID-19 risk in the county. Two factors contributing to the change to a warning level are the increased test positivity rate and the increase in new cases per 100,000.
