Our Nursing department provides many valuable services and programs for Edgar County. These services and programs include: Blood Pressure Screenings, Breastfeeding Education and Support, Car Seat Safety Education and Installation, Child and Adult Immunizations, Developmental Screenings, Family Case Management, Health Screenings (cholesterol, blood sugar, hemoglobin, complete blood count, etc.), Free Hep C / HIV Testing, Health Education Programs (Drugs, E-cigarettes, Handwashing/Hygiene, Oral Health, Safety, STDs, etc.), High-Risk Infant Follow-up, Home Visits, Lead Poisoning Prevention Program, Illinois Tobacco-Free Communities Program / Smoke-Free Illinois Act Compliance, Laboratory Testing, Lead Testing, Lice education, Nutrition Education, Pregnancy Testing, Smoking Cessation Guidance, STD Testing, TB Screenings and Tests, Vision and Hearing Screenings, WIC Program (Women, Infant, and Children), and the Women’s Health Clinic.

Also, we partner with many different Edgar County Organizations, such as: The REC Summer Camp Program and all Edgar County School districts. We are members of the Bee Well Coalition, C.A.R.E. Coalition, and ROSC Council. We attend and present at multiple schools, parent advisory meetings, businesses, health fairs, parades, and events throughout Edgar County.

Our Nursing staff includes (1) Director of Nursing, (1) Communicable Disease Nurse, (1) Health Educator, (1) WIC nurse, (1) Registered Dietician/Lactation Consultant, (1) Breastfeeding Peer Counselor, and (1) WIC Clerk.

For the majority of Nursing Services offered, you do not need to make an appointment. However, if you are restricted for time, we recommend making an appointment in advance to ensure you are in and out in a timely manner.
